According to global AI advisor Zach Kass, who shared his insights on a recent episode of ‘Barron’s Roundtable,’ maintaining dominance in AI was considered vital for both national security and economic innovation.

Zach Kass emphasized the long-term implications of AI supremacy, stating that “whichever country leads in AI will also lead economically and militarily in the decades to come.” He also highlighted that while private sector leadership in AI innovation is strong in the U.S., government support and targeted investment are essential to ensure that the technology is developed ethically and strategically.
The Trump-era policies laid the groundwork for greater public-private partnerships, increased funding for AI research, and regulatory frameworks designed to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
