Hartford HealthCare has unveiled a series of new measures designed to strengthen its commitment to community health and increase access to vital medical services across Connecticut. These initiatives form part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to address health disparities and improve overall wellness within the communities it serves.

The newly launched programs include expanded mental health services, community-based primary care outreach, and enhanced accessibility to preventive screenings. A core focus is placed on underserved populations, with the goal of reducing barriers to care and encouraging early intervention.

‘We recognize that healthcare must extend beyond the walls of our hospitals and clinics,’ said Jeffrey A. Flaks, President and CEO of Hartford HealthCare. ‘These efforts are about making meaningful, measurable improvements in the lives of the people in our communities.’

In addition to service expansion, Hartford HealthCare is investing in digital health platforms that allow for virtual consultations and remote patient monitoring. Community health workers will also play a central role in the outreach efforts, forging connections and building trust with individuals in need of care.

Furthermore, emphasis is being placed on data-driven approaches. The health system is collaborating with academic institutions and local organizations to study community health trends and respond with targeted solutions.

These comprehensive initiatives underscore Hartford HealthCare’s mission to create a healthier future for all, ensuring that quality healthcare is accessible, equitable, and centered around the people it serves.
