The Environmental Science Center (ESC) is calling for volunteers to join its new team of beach naturalists at Seahurst Park this summer. The initiative aims to inspire a love of science, Puget Sound, and community stewardship among park visitors.

Selected volunteers will engage with the public during select low tides, answering questions and guiding safe exploration of the unique coastal habitat. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy exploring beaches and are passionate about environmental education and conservation.

Organizers stated that the program will not only enhance visitors’ understanding of marine ecosystems but also foster lifelong connections with nature. Volunteers will be trained to ensure they are well-prepared to support and inform park goers throughout the summer season.
