AI Analyzes Art With Deeper Insight Than Human Eye, Researchers Say

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) are revolutionizing the way artworks are examined and interpreted. Experts suggest that machine learning tools can now decode and reveal information in paintings that the human eye alone might miss.

One such AI system has demonstrated an ability to analyze details such as brushstroke techniques, material compositions, and even underlayers of paint not visible to naked eye. These insights are helping art historians, conservators, and scientists uncover new aspects of historic artworks and better understand the techniques of master painters.
