The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is set to honor its graduating students with Spring Commencement ceremonies on Monday, May 12. The event, which will take place at the Cannon Center for the Performing Arts, marks the successful completion of academic programs for students across all six of the university’s colleges.
Graduating students from the Colleges of Dentistry, Graduate Health Sciences, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy will receive their degrees during the ceremonies. The annual commencement is one of the most significant academic traditions at UTHSC, celebrating years of dedication and academic achievement in the health sciences.
“It is an incredibly proud moment for our university to see our students reach this major milestone,” said a university spokesperson. “These graduates will now go on to contribute meaningfully to health care and research both in Tennessee and beyond.”
The ceremony will include formal addresses by university officials, faculty, and distinguished guests. Friends, families, and academic peers are expected to gather in support of the graduating class in what promises to be a memorable and inspiring occasion.
Commencement not only symbolizes the end of academic study but also the beginning of a professional journey for these health care graduates. Many will immediately enter the workforce, pursuing careers in clinical practice, research, education, and public health—continuing the university’s mission to improve health and well-being in communities across the region.
