‘Ultimate Dinosaurs’ Exhibition to Debut at Science Museum of Virginia This Summer

The Science Museum of Virginia has announced that it will host the ‘Ultimate Dinosaurs’ exhibition starting this summer. This immersive display explores the fascinating world of prehistoric creatures, with a special focus on dinosaurs that are less commonly known in North America.

Developed by the Royal Ontario Museum and presented by the Science Museum of Virginia, the exhibit highlights rare and exotic dinosaurs that evolved in isolation in the Southern Hemisphere. Visitors will have the chance to discover species from the ancient landmasses of South America, Africa, and Madagascar, offering insight into how geography influenced the evolution of life on Earth.

The exhibit includes fully articulated dinosaur skeletons, life-size casts, and augmented reality experiences that bring these long-extinct giants to life. Scientific displays will also delve into paleontological research, explaining the global conditions that led to the diversification of these unique species.

Interactive features and dynamic visual media will aim to engage visitors of all ages, making ‘Ultimate Dinosaurs’ both an educational and entertaining experience. The exhibit opens in the summer of 2025 and will run for a limited time, giving science enthusiasts a rare opportunity to explore a lesser-known chapter of the planet’s prehistoric past.

For exact dates and ticket information, museum officials recommend checking the Science Museum of Virginia’s website closer to the exhibit opening date.
