Reno High School Students Organize New Science Fair Event

Two high school students from Reno are collaborating to introduce a new science fair aimed at fostering interest in scientific research among their peers. The initiative is designed to offer local students an opportunity to showcase their projects, enhance their understanding of scientific principles, and engage with the broader STEM community.

The students, who have not yet been named, plan to host the event at a central location in Reno and invite participants from schools throughout the region. They hope the fair will become an annual tradition that not only boosts academic interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) but also provides a platform for young innovators to gain recognition for their work.

Organizers are currently finalizing the event’s logistics, including judging criteria, participation guidelines, and potential sponsors. Further details about the date and registration procedures are expected to be announced soon.

The students’ initiative reflects a growing trend of student-led efforts to enhance educational opportunities and inspire civic involvement among youth in the Reno area.
