Pancreatic Cancer-Specific Antigens Discovered for T Cell Therapy

A recent study has identified cancer-specific peptides that can be presented by human leukocyte antigen class I (HLA-I), providing potential targets for T cell therapy in pancreatic cancer treatment. These noncanonical HLA-I-bound peptides (ncHLAp) are produced through translation of the noncoding genome and are found to be both cancer-specific and immunogenic. This discovery could lead to the development of more effective and targeted treatments for pancreatic cancer.
