Martinelli’s announced the recall of over 7,000 cases of its apple juice products due to possible contamination with patulin, a naturally occurring toxin produced by certain molds. Patulin can pose health risks, particularly to young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems.

The company stressed that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution after routine testing revealed the presence of patulin levels exceeding regulatory limits. No illnesses related to the recalled products have been reported to date.

Consumers are advised to check the affected product batches and discontinue use. Martinelli’s is offering refunds or exchanges for customers who have purchased the recalled juice.

The company has committed to working closely with regulatory authorities to resolve the issue and ensure product safety. Customers seeking more information should contact Martinelli’s directly or visit their website.
