Kia Unveils 2026 Sportage: Pricing, Trims, and Features Revealed for U.S. Market

Kia Motors has officially unveiled key details for the 2026 Sportage, outlining the pricing, trim levels, and new features for one of the automaker’s best-selling small SUVs in the U.S. market. The announcement provides prospective buyers with a comprehensive look at what they can expect in terms of performance, technology, and value from the upcoming model year.

The 2026 Kia Sportage will continue to offer a diverse lineup, including gas-powered, hybrid (HEV), and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants. The small SUV is known for striking a balance between fuel efficiency, advanced safety features, and cabin comfort, attributes that the Korean automaker has enhanced in the latest iteration.

Trim levels for the 2026 Sportage include base LX, mid-tier EX, and premium SX and SX Prestige options. The plug-in hybrid model, widely praised for its fuel economy and electric-only driving range, will be available primarily on the higher-end trims.

In terms of exterior design, the new Sportage maintains Kia’s modern, edgy styling with a bold front fascia, distinctive grille, and sleek LED lighting elements. Inside, upgraded materials and a more refined cabin design reflect the company’s efforts to compete in an increasingly crowded compact SUV segment.

Technology upgrades include a larger standard infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an enhanced driver assistance suite with lane-keeping assist and smart cruise control, and available upgrades such as a 360-degree camera system and voice-activated controls.

Pricing for the 2026 Kia Sportage starts at a competitive level for the base LX trim, with higher trims and plug-in hybrid versions commanding premiums for their expanded features and improved performance metrics. Full pricing details and fuel economy ratings are expected to be released closer to the on-sale date, which is slated for later this year.

With the growing popularity of electrified and compact vehicles in the United States, Kia’s latest Sportage aims to capture a broad customer base seeking versatility, efficiency, and advanced technology in a small SUV package.
