Carmel High School Seniors Present Research at Prestigious Science Competitions

CARMEL — Ten seniors from Carmel High School culminated three years of dedicated scientific research by presenting their projects at two prestigious science competitions: the Regeneron Science Talent Search and the Westchester Science and Engineering Fair.

The students began their work in 10th grade under the mentorship of teacher Nicole Griffin. Throughout the program, they identified scientific topics of interest, conducted original research, and developed comprehensive reports and presentations.

Participation in these highly competitive events highlights the students’ commitment to science and their ability to conduct university-level research. The Regeneron Science Talent Search is one of the most esteemed science and mathematics competitions in the U.S., providing a national platform for young scholars. The Westchester Science and Engineering Fair also offers opportunities for students to present their findings to professional scientists, academics, and industry leaders.

The students’ achievement reflects the strong support of Carmel High School’s science program and the guidance received throughout their academic careers. Their participation not only showcases individual accomplishment but also brings recognition to the broader school community.
