On Friday, April 4, Weissberg Commons at Yeshiva University was filled with the sounds of laughter and excitement as young students from P.S. 189 participated in an interactive science event. The occasion, which transformed the academic space into a temporary classroom, offered elementary school children a chance to engage in hands-on scientific experiments and educational activities.

The program was designed to inspire curiosity and foster an early interest in science among the visiting students. Organized by Yeshiva University community members, the event featured a variety of stations and demonstrations intended to spark learning through fun, interactive experiences.

The visit from P.S. 189 emphasized the university’s commitment to community outreach and educational enrichment beyond its own student body. Events like these not only connect university students and faculty with the broader New York City community but also provide younger generations with a memorable introduction to higher education and the sciences.
